Singha TATP--Tennis Tournaments

These are the premier tournaments in Thailand.  Best organized tournament ever.  If you want to borrow balls to warm up, you can ask the tournament for balls, they will give you a new can that you open for 200 baht--then you return it and get the balls back.

The way to enter is by email--they have a facebook page--
Enter by email.  They will place you on a players list--they usually separate it based on points.  The professional tour has pre-qualifying for 500 baht, qualifying, and then, the main draw.  In Bangkok, the pre-quals is normally four matches while outside in Pattaya it's smaller--the draw in Bangkok is 110 while in Pattaya it was about 60.

What do you get?  New balls, a t-shirt, drinks, a banana, ref, and a ball kid in your match.  They also have professional photographers.  If you make it to qualies, you get your money back, but more importantly, you get a point which is good for one calendar year end.  This allows you to be seeded or enter directly into the qualifying.

For the senior events, you will be placed in a four man round robin.  The winner of the bracket advances to the quarterfinals of the main draw.  The one hidden thing is if you lose all your matches, they refund you back 300 baht of your 500 baht entry fee--I think this is to be sure you play all of your round robin matches.  The points from this tournament are kept on a four tournament basis.

Best tournament I have ever played.
